From a technical aspect, I think everything about this picture is very nearly pitch perfect. From the lighting, to the pose, to the choice of such an exotic model, everything works about as well as it possibly could. Even the small choices: like having the hair drape over the side of the body that has more lighting, or having the only visible clothing be the black stockings she's wearing) were the right choices. Overall, the image is quite original and has a rather strong impact on the viewer. The way the sword is held over the shoulder and behind the neck gives the viewer lots of material for generating intriguing fantasies.
Here, here. I know nothing about photography. But all those things struck me. All the small aspects hit me one by one, but then the final blast of taking it all in really set me back. Great work. I'm soooo jealous.
when i look at your picture i feel like a warrior who has returned from battle to his waiting wife. waiting to hear his tails but ready to strike him down if he did not fight with honor. truly amazing work
congrats, beautiful image. it is always easy to critique something that someone else has made... the only comment is perhaps, more shadow and less natural light to give a more dramatic feel. hope this helps/
I'm glad I read the comments before posting. It is not entirely clear that you are the model in this. I came to this image through browsing the photography section of the site and therefore have not seen your profile page, which I am sure many others on this site do as well. It would be helpful if you included more information in the description of this image, such as that you are the model and that the photographer is a fellow named Dan.
For a while there I thought you were Dan until I read the comments! Having said that, this is a great piece, I like it a lot! Good job
